Safe plants to use for a chameleon
Overview
All of these plant recommendations have been used by either myself or other trusted chameleon keepers. If you don’t see a plant on here, try looking it up on chameleonforums.com and to see if anyone else has used it. If no one else has safely used it, then I’d suggest not using that plant and sticking to what you know is safe. Also keep in mind that just because a plant is listed as toxic for cats and dogs, does not mean it is also toxic for chameleons.
Where to buy plants?
You can buy plants from you local nurseries at places like Home Depot or Lowe’s or if you’re looking for somewhere online, Josh’s Frogs and The Bio Dude sells tons of reptile-safe plants.
Repotting plants
All plants should be washed and repotted with organic potting soil before being put into a chameleon enclosure.
